Nonprofit Sponsorship Eligibility Guide
Purpose
To provide financial assistance and recognition to outstanding youth table tennis athletes who demonstrate exceptional skill and/or significant need. This support enables them to pursue high-level competition and development opportunities.
Sponsorship Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet at least one of the following criteria:
Competitive Excellence

Ranked in the Top 10 nationally in their age group, according to USATT ratings.

Active member of the U.S. National Team.

Achieved a Top 3 finish in their age category at a USATT 5-star tournament.
-
Won 1st place in their age category at a USATT-sanctioned regional championship.
-
Achieved a Top 3 finish in their age category at a WTT (World Table Tennis) event.
Community Access / Equity-Based
-
Youth from low-income households, as defined by the California Department of Housing and Community Development low-income thresholds. Proof of income (e.g., tax returns, free/reduced lunch qualification, Medi-Cal eligibility) may be required.
Application Requirements
Applicants must submit:

A completed Sponsorship Application Form

Proof of eligibility (e.g., tournament results, USATT ranking screenshot, income documentation if applying via financial need)

A short personal statement (200–300 words) describing their goals and how sponsorship would support their development
Deadlines & Review
-
Applications are reviewed quarterly
-
Deadlines: March 1, June 1, September 1, December 1
-
Selected recipients will be notified within 3 weeks of the application deadline
Review Process
All applications will be evaluated by a committee based on:

Demonstrated merit or need
-
Clarity of purpose
-
Alignment with the nonprofit’s mission to promote equity and excellence in youth sports
